Speaking of turtles, I caught a snapper with a shell about 12" from front to back crawling out of the woods into a pond on a Plotwatcher game camera this Spring, and today walking to my pond found a redear slider that had a shell that was 6"-7" long and 4"-5" wide crawling through the grass towards the pond. I have no idea where it came from unless it was from the pond across the street, which is about 1/2 mile away. I saved it some exercise and put it at the edge of my pond.
