I did also stock some perch 4-6" and 6-8" this spring so I am a bit surprised that I don't see more in the shallows. If it weren't for successfully trapping the FHMs it would be hard to know that they are even there. Maybe there aren't enough perch to put pressure on them to drive them into the shallows. My small pond only had BG, YP, and FHM in it right now and I don't see any in the shallows either. However, they come up in droves to nibble AM 400.
