My family is neck deep in remodeling our home on the pond property, and we're making some pretty sweeping changes. My wife informs me that our decorating style is known as Industrial Rustic....okay. To me that means repurposing stuff rather than buying new for everything.

To that end, we picked up several of these lights this past weekend, and have what we think is the perfect spot for them. My job is to make them functional, and I figure I will end up machining and fabricating to do so. That's not a problem, but it occurred to me that maybe there were other options available as far as factory wiring/mounting, which might make my job easier.

Right now they feature a twist lock mechanism with round, contact rings in the receptacle base. I don't know what they're called, so I'm having a hard time looking them up. I was hoping that the vast knowledge base here on the forum might shed some light on the matter.

Thanks for looking!

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.
