IMHO I think fall stocking is better than spring stocking from a survivability standpoint. My rationale is the fish are in the best shape possible after a summer of feeding so they are nice and fat, vs limited food intake over the winter and skinny fish for spring stocked fish but, I am not a pro. Just my 1.5 cents.
