I'm not sure I would have thrown those back in.
I figure when mine start to reach 24 inches, they will become dinner. I'm hoping (drooling) that they will reach that size by mid-summer.
My problem with the HSB in my main pond is that they are like the HBG in my small pond. They grab any bait that hits the water, and so far they don't seem to be getting hook shy. What an awful problem.
