I've seen people use them below dam at Lake of the Ozark's. You can't take your boat in a buffer zone below dam. They would use RC boat to take bait up to the good fishing. It would drop sinker and they would bring boat back. They was limiting out. Worked great.
Being able to get your line out like to a dam is a great idea. I've heard stories about what lies below. I read this article about an old timer that built his own rc fishing boat and he was the King of Shark Fishing in Florida in the 70's.
