See that area in North Central Texas that says Exceptional drought? Yep, that's me. With the exception of 2004, we are in an 8 year drought.

Dave, my area got virtually no rain last fall, winter, spring or summer. I may have gotten 6 to 8 inches during that 12 months. Our weather forecasts are all about scattered showers, not rain.

I have now had about 4 inches during the last 4 or 5 weeks. That is huge around here. All of it has fallen very slowly; great for the ground but no runoff.
