Grandpa always said if there is lighting and snow on the ground its the end of winter.
I give that the thumbs up.
Cheers Don. I'm not sure I'd trust that one. About 25 years ago I got stranded for several hours in a "thunder snow" near the end of November. It dropped about 10 inches of snow in less than an hour. The remaining winter went down hill from there. Ken was that in Northern Wisconsin? No, it was in Northern Virginia during afternoon rush hour traffic. I was on Interestate I-66 westbound when it just plain shut down the highway and every road around us. It was quite a project to get it cleaned up so that the cars could begin to move again. There was no place for the snow removal equipment to begin operating, plus it took everyone by surprise.
