I got skunked as far as my targetted fish this weekend, bad wind and tide........ My sister caught some yellow mouth sand trout in the river and kept a few. She put them in a wire fish basket and they got pretty beat up. One made it to the pond and survived intaial transition to fresh water. I released it. It was seen the next day breaking the surface.. Either dieing or feeding not sure. if dieing not sure if from very rough handling or fresh water intolerance...
I will continue to try and source some speckled sea trout ...
