Did you overlook the location of this pond? ~ inside of Houston's Beltway 8.... ie. inner suburbia. The only ducks in this area are some domestic whites - and the residents of the flanking multi-million dollar homes probably wouldn't take kindly to them be snipered by a duck-murderer
