Bluegills do feed on snails but of course nothing like redears (sheelcrackers). I have also found quite a few in trout which don't do any crushing of snails. It may be more of an opportunistic thing or they are not their first choice if there is something easier to eat?
Additonally Bill Cody told me once there is one species of snail that is more preferred over the ramshorn snails due to being easier to digest and crush.
Did I get that right Bill?
Mike are these ramshorn snails?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
