on top of this, the usfs is on the warpath to close many favorite Sierran back country roads and off-road trails (not just in el dorado county) due to lack of formal environmental investigation impact reports. the natives are restless and pissed.

a while back this same sheriff joined many others across the country and submitted a letter to the white house proclaiming that the proposed new fed gun laws would NOT be enforced in EDC under his administration.
