As far as my pond goes there are too many downed trees to get to it,surely though it is now brackish from salt water flooding

You might be surprised on how adaptable your pond fish are to the brackish water. Of course it depends on how much salt is in it but I have read that yellow perch and largemouth bass can be found in the brackish water of tidal basins.
