No bait. I really like the modified fyke net, it's rectangular rather than round. I have no proof, but I think it works better than a traditional fyke net.

The one that I use is 3'x5', the "hoop" part where the fish are trapped is 16' long, and the lead is 4' tall x 50' long. Dry weight is 50#. The one that I use is difficult for one person to use, but it's doable. If I were to buy another one, it'd be like the one that Chris used, 2' x 3'.

I've had so many fish and snapping turtles in it at once that I couldn't lift it out of the water. I had to drag it to shore and carefully remove the contents. I had 100# in snapping turtles alone in the net.
