I have never heard of a leak sealing itself. Nor have I heard of a couple of pieces of drywall sealing a pond. But then, maybe I haven't heard of everything.

If it does blow out, you have several concerns.

1. What and/or who is downstream?

2. Where will you get soil to replace it?
