I am a newbie here as well as to ponds. We just finished a 1 acre pond 26 feet deep to center, filled up naturally during the winter snow thaw and spring rains. I am going to the local fish hatchery next week but thought I would get opinions first. Wondering what fish and how many to keep a clean and healthy pond environment. The pond was dug and has a lot of clay as a base. Should I add plants right away as well? Any help is much appreciated.
