for a couple years anyways i was successfully using the summer drawdown to help my big greenies get bigger, but now there are too many. the pond is ~0.9 acre when full, loses 6 to 8 vertical feet every year and probably goes down to around .5 to .6 acre so i lose at least 50% probably closer to 75%. it used to dry up all the way til i "fixed" it. this is a tough place to keep water.
