I was talking to a good friend of mine who is the operations manager for a drinking water treatment plant about what type Alum that he uses and he indicated they use the liquid form and he asked me what I was up to so I explained to him about the alum being used to separate the clay particle's all the while he was shaking his head yes that he knew what I was talking about, of course he would since his plants treats around 10 million gallons of water a day, But anyway he said why not get a truck load of the lime slurry which still contains the Alum in it and it would work well for what I wanted to do.I told him I didnt need that much and he jokingly said "you get a truck load or nothing. I am curious if anyone had ever used any of the by product of a water treatment plant which is the lime/alum slurry? he has tons of it to remove from his basins.
A little snow, Please!
