Very foggy visibility 1/4 to 1/2 mile and the cieling was 60 to 100 yards. No geese flying until 10:30 AM and by 11:30 AM we had our 2 man limit. Couldn't see the geese coming had to listen for them. Lassig, reminds me of my 1st hunt as a teen with my BIL and dad in marsh around Cameron, La. Couldn't see much of anything. First thing that came in sight, I let the hammer down. Folded up, long skinny legs, long neck. Ended the hunt early for the day.
Next wk. my BIL reported one less whooping crane(in 1964) there were only about 50 or so then.
