doc, I think from looking at your sattelite image of the pond you may be able to back into several locaitons. This is very important. If you cna nto backup to most of the pond then it will not reach most of the pond bottom. It does float acorss the pond quite well.
As rianman mentions you need to get spreader truck that runs offf pto not jsut drive shaft this way he can backup perpendicular to shore.
Also we of course lime ponds via barge this is the best method to cover the entire pond. The cost of adding 4-6 tons, the normal rate we recommend for most SE soils, is very pricey going the bag route. Liquid lime is an option but again very pricey compared to bhulk ag lime. Good option is acre or less.
