Cecil: Thank you for your reply. Yes, willows by the pond and eucalyptus nearby probably leaching water and maybe iron? This is the first year to have the orange oily stuff. When the wind really thickened it up by the north narrow part I just finally set to scooping and tossing it aside. Pretty much thined it out and then it went away. The pond then got milky, now cleared up. Algae forms some on the edges from tree roots.
This is my first encounter with a forum so am not up to speed yet with adding topics or icons.
