That's what 1300 ac will get you when it's managed for wildlife!
Since my buddy has a bad knee I volunteered to spread out what wild rice he had left. Hopefully it'ss be in deep enough water that it'll still be attractive to ducks this fall.
The cat was caught on a 4 wt. flyrod with about a #8 hook I believe it was 3 1/4#. We caught LMB up to 4#, Coppernose to 10" and I caught an 11" RES on the bass popper. Ron called a few days later saying that he took the boat across the 35 ac pond to fish the far side and caught a 6.5# LMB on a popper. The pond with few trees around it is the 35 ac pond and he manages it for a trophy LMB fishery. He put a truckload or 2 of Threadfin in it this year, and it has a healthy population of CBG and RES. One 3# LMB that I caught had 4 stab wounds in it from a Cormorant.
Thanks George!!!
