Sad to report that our fishing has been slow, poor, and mostly a skunk-fest.
My biggest bass of 2009 has been 15 1/2 inches - that is basically one of the smallest bass I've ever caught from my pond. (Probably ranks as about the 3rd smallest.)
We've caught about 6 nice crappie and 2 BG.
This is the report from about 12 fishing trips - not all on our own pond because we fish about 6 different ponds. But, our pond is yielding about the same as all the others - little to nothing.
Water temps have yet to hit 50 but they are creeping up.
Al, If 15 inches is a small LMB in your pond you are doing something right. 15 Inches in my pond is a good LMB. I'm working on culling LMB and trying to get their weights and lengths up.
