First, thanks for editing the thread title. That has been driving me nuts.

As for that bluegill, that is fantastic. I've got some very pregnant BG, but they don't have that round dish plate body shape like yours. As I've sampled over the last few days, a number of mine look almost like saltwater puffers. They are ready to explode eggs all over. I caught (and released) a catfish a few days ago that looked it had an inflated balloon in its tummy.

Have you filleted any that look like that? I took a couple out this past weekend that were very deep hooked. They were really fat and full of eggs, but there was virtually no meat on their ribs. However, their "shoulders" were very thick. (They were delicious.)

It sure looks like the really big BG are slowly moving across the eastern US from Nebraska. Maybe next season for me.
