Does anyone know what this is.

There are four or five strands about like 4 feet long when stretched out...in my pond. They look like eggs of some sort and are in this long tubular looking DNA strand...that's really the only way I can describe it. I'm in upstate NY and have all of the usual suspects in the pond. I can't find anything that looks quite like it...

Definitely yellow perch!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I've been told that frog eggs are laid in clumps or clusters while toad eggs are laid in strands very similar to your photo, BUT are typically very dark in color. I sticking with perch eggs however.
