It's always so nice to catch a bass that could actually attempt to eat your arm...VERY NICE!

Fish on!,

it was about a 11' large mouth... .. as far as age, man i'm not sure.. we didn't stock the lakes.. the were stocked for awhile before we purchased the ranch... we basically took it over, got on this site, learned a ton and started thinning the population... when we first got it.. all bass were stunted at 10-14 inches... with a culling program, we are now catching good fish...

i hand weighed her at about 8 and change.. of course i was fun fishing and did'nt have a scale.. lol.. probably pushing 10.. as i saw a few photos of some other 8's my friends have caught.. and this dwarfed them

Just curious... did you get the bass out of its mouth without hurting it or release it like that? It blows me away it still ate a artificial bait when it still had a 11 incher not even swallowed yet!! Talk about prime feeding time!! I have boated lmb near 14 pounds and many 10 and over. Judging by that belly and the fact it had a 3/4 pound piece of food in its mouth it was probably 10 pounds or more. Great job!! Is that ya'lls record so far??

that would be.. if it was 10.. my biggest by far was a 9.4.. ..and no i left it in there.. and you can see in the pic.. that belly.. that bottom was a hard lump. and i was assuming its the head of the fish .. so i figured if it still eatin.. i'll just not mess with her..

..i added one more.. a nice side profile pic, and a picture of the pond layout... thats an old google photo.. the pond in the middle is not that color anymore and they are all full to the top!.. that fish in the pic was caught out of the middle pond... the biggest fish on avg come from the pond on the right..which is the oldest on the ranch.

awesome fish! nice job on the pond rehab...you are obviously doing something (a lot) right. How long ago did you start your management program? Your growing season is longer than ours but just curious how long it took to go from stunted fish to whoppers like that. Way to close out the year! Wow! BM61.
