Texas Pond Part 2 - Getting a Bulldozer stuck
Well we decided to widen our pond and make it a bit bigger...
While digging out our new island, the dozer decided she was hot and wanted to go for a dip....while trying to "rock" her out..she ended up mudding the whole pond to a chocolate milk consistency..
Well we first tried to pull her out with a dodge truck...then we had to get help from a neighbor and with both a ford and dodge 4 wheel drive we got it to come out...thankfully it didn't die in the water or it would have been a bad day ha...but pond is bigger land is more level.....now just waiting for rain to fill it up.

When my pond was being dug in Summer '14, the D4 Cat dozer hit a freshwater seam about 3-4' while expanding to the east. It took the big trac hoe to keep it from sinking out of sight. Scared the hell out of the dozer operator.
...when in doubt...set the hook...

Somewhere on here there is a pic of a medium sized trac hoe stuck up to the roof in the mud of a pond redo.

We got off lucky, 2 trucks were able to pull it out while they floored the gas on that dozer...it did come out...but made a huge mess of the pond...The pond was ridiculously muddy for about a week. I'm surprised if any of the fish survived...
