Welcome Lorri! Looks like a great candidate to either fill in, or excavate. What are your goals, here?
Cody note: It looks like a very good candidate for a pond rebuilding to 8-10 ft deep by an experienced excavator with a good compacting sheepsfoot. How deep is the muck the pole is in?

Big ole excavator have that thing cleaned out in a jiffy!! In 4 hours you could have a new pond 5 foot deeper!! RC
