To me, it looks like a type of Shiner, but let's see what the experts have to say...

How about some more info like size of fish , location of creek, better pic , and types of fish in the watershed.

The fish is a live bearing minnow.The largest I have seen is about 4" I have been told that it is called a roach ? But I have tried to find information on them with little luck.

I can catch them put them in a stock tank and sometimes I see small ones like 1/16" long within hours. I don't think they can spawn and hatch in an hour or two. I know guppies and some other fish are livebearers so when you say there is no such thing I don't know what qualifies as a minnow.it's shaped like a minnow and acts like a minnow.
