Depth chart for my 0.25 acre pond
Put my jon boat and depth finder today in the pond to see exactly how deep it gets and where. With the information I got, I created this chart for personal reference.
It had a large area of steady 7-7.5ft bottom. There was 2ft of "sludge" underneath that had accumulated over time with leaves and other matter. Wonder if it's possible to get that crap out?

It's possible but a whole lot of work to drain, dry, and dragline it out.

Just took notes around the pond and generated it in Photoshop! Nothing fancy

That size would be easy to drain, can you access the pond with a track hoe?

Not easily, our yard is fenced in so a section of the fence would have to be taken out, and there's the obstacles (trees).

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

You might think about aeration. It is a slower process, but it does work well removing muck from the bottom of a pond.
