I thought a good way to get to "know" people might be to see pics or hear stories about their pets. I'll start of with my dog Flop Ear Dog. He just showed up at the property one day while Cindy's house was going up. He never left. We're out in the country so I guess somebody abandoned him. He was about 6 months old then. He's very smart and loves everybody except coyotes.

2 of my 3 dogs have been missing now for over 2 weeks, I have searched all hours of the day, even when I should be working. I have become familiar with the local animal control officers and they know what to look for, they sofar with last sightings have traveled about 8 miles as the crow flys. It has been really stressful for the family and the remaining dog wasnt eating and would howl at night down by where the dogs went under the fence, This could have been prevented if only I would have had their collars on with my information on them but I have been laxs since they never showed any signs of getting out. We just last night adopted another yellow lab for the lab we have, she wasnt having anything to do with the new dog but they are starting to warm up to each other. Here is a shot of the 3 amigos By the way H20fowlkiller keep a eye out the were last seen heading south probably crossed 50 hiway by now
A little snow, Please!

The great thing about America is that, if you want to, you can take a rat to the beauty parlor.

Here are my two dogs, Shorty is the older one in front and smaller one is the new pup (Powder) from last fall, both are german shorthairs. Note, the Powder pup is now bigger than the Short stuff.

Powder looks ready to hit the grass. One of my hunting buddies always says this about pheasants: I don't know what they smell like, but they must smell good!

Labs and ponds go together like peas and carrots. The only problem is they get pretty muddy in the pond so when we built the new house we made them a room that they can dry off in. They are never allowed on the furniture My wife has two cats, notice I said my wife. One showed it's appreciation this spring before I put the screens in the windows My Yellow lab lives to fish, much like me would rather fish than eat. She can hear a fishing pole being moved through two insulated walls and just go berserk. My chocolate lab loves chasing frogs but could care less about fishing. Out of hundreds of attempts I have only seen him catch 1 toad.

I used to have a cat that would bring dead rats into the house (we had a cat door) and place them inside my shoe.

Shadow joined our family about a year ago - we adopted him from the local animal control shelter. He is the perfect dog for us - he loves the water!!

Sue your house must be complete bedlam with that many objects in motion. How do you find time to think much less work ? BTW nice water color and dependants. Here is one of ours - Lucky dog - picked up in the woods as a tick infested , half starved 4 mth old. - now at 4 a 100 lbs of energy.

This is Dexter. We got him from the SPCA shelter. This picture was from when we were cleaning some trout that we caught. He has eaten some bluegill whole and loves to ride in the boat when we go out to the lake. I will try to get a video of him chasing a fishing lure in my pool.

I have a Rhodesian Ridge Back dog. They were bred to hunt lions in Africa. We haven't seen a lion in the neighborhood in years.
PS I have a lot of fish, I think.
In Dog Beers, I've had one.

My dog basically looks exactly the same as ewest's dog.
He's at least a second generation mutt, but I'd swear he has some Rhodesian Ridge Back in him.
While he doesn't have the line of hair going opposite the rest, he loves to sit on people. Frequently, he puts his butt on the couch and sits there like a person would. (EDIT: With three or four feet on the floor)

GW, that thing in the middle had better be a stuffed animal.
Actually, I have to break a confidence, ahvatsa raises (and loves) those hairless dogs as a side interest (sorry Al!).
