The bigger the bait, the bigger the fish, right?

Looks like those frogs caught a pretty big boy!

Frogs make fine dog bait too!

I've seen those before. I just had to lay my poor old buddy to rest on the right after 14 years of faithful service. He was a fine "frog" dog!

I'm catching about 8 or 9 a night. I have some new baby ducks swimming around and those frogs will eat anything they can fit in there mouth. The frogs my little boy are holding are fat with crayfish!

This guy lives down in an old cistern on my place; he's been in there for at least the last several years.

Before we brought utilities onto our land I spent several weeks camping while I built a little cabin. One of the locals couldn't wait for a pond so he moved into my propane shower.

When he wasn't hanging out in the shower he "hid" in a ziplock I had hung up to dry.

It got lonely in the woods at times and little frog was my most loyal companion. I don't think I could use him for bait.

I caught the biggest bluegill of my life (13") on a 1.5" long toad. Those guys would make good bait for Condello's monsters!

I'd like to contribute to the forum, but I don't know much about ponds yet. I've noticed that some people struggle with posting images so if anyone would like some verbal instruction feel free to email or pm me and I'll give you my phone number.

Those verbal instructions wont be in Spanish, will they?...That is a good gesture.

All instruction is in American talk.

I don't know that much about computers either, but I'm very patient and I'm happy to help with some basics.

Is that some kind of lettuce or a bag of frogs?

I think I'm not going to buy the Floretta Canonigos Fresco Lavado brand of leafy greens anymore.

Nice pic Shorty. I've got a few of the big fellas, but they're too wary to snap. I have hundreds of small leopard frogs too. They had to have hopped a long way to get to my pond.

bobad, we have hundreds of them this size, it's probably why we have very few leopards frogs, these guys have eaten their numbers down. We also have a small number of western chorus frogs too.

Shorty,

I hear you! Few people realize what voracious predators bullfrogs are. They eat other frogs, salamanders, snakes, small turtles, lizards, mice, birds, and anything else they can wrap their gums around.
