You do realize a fountain is more for looks than aeration right?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Bream are pretty tough (at least mine are), if they didint make it - does anyone know if the cats stand a better chance?

Most partial fish kills result in some small fish of most types ( FH ,cats, BG and LMB) having some survivors.

Gator Dan, nope; cats stand no better chance than sunfish.

When I killed my forage pond from lack of attention, the fish spawned and over spawned. Due to their manure, the water changed colors from healthy to a deep, nasty looking, green. In other words, they polluted the water to the point that it couldn't sustain life due to plankton overload and oxygen deprivation. As Bill Cody once said, fish swim and live in their own toilet.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
