#1 Take time to enjoy it.
#2 Keep it mowed around pond.
#3 Finish off cattails.
#4 Get a grip on the balance of the pond by recording lengths and weights.
#5 Buy and add some water plants.
And maybe start the house by the pond...

Make it look easy,

I could probably go on and on but I look forward to it all. Can't wait to get started again.
Hey BuckeyeWilly,

How did the powerline srvey go on Jan. 9th? I have my second one coming up on Feb. 20th. The first didn't go so well, as Duke Enery quoted $20,500 to run 400 amp service 2500'. I happen to be positioned directly on the border of two service providers from which I can choose. I have my fingers crossed that the next outcome will be much more paletable. Any advice from your experience would be most appreciated.

Late start, but here's mine.

#1
1)Grow out the 40 CC to eaten size and harvest
2)Stock 40 more for next year
3)Successful spawn of last falls stocking of CNBG, RES and FHM
4)Stock 2lbs of tilapia for FA control (low amount due to lack of predator base)
5)Harvest 30 male CNBG for pond #2
6)Stock Tiger Bass and HSB this summer
7)Install Aquapro feeder
8)Sprig hybrid Bermuda for permanent ground cover

#2
1)Grow out the 30 CC to eaten size and harvest
2)Stock 20 more for next year
3)Successful spawn of last falls stocking of FHM.
4)Stock the 30 male CNBG from pond #1
5)Sex and stock 5 male tilapia (try to raise a whopper)

#3
1)Stock 8 lbs of tilapia for forage and vegetation/FA control
2)Fish and harvest heavy to reduce crappie and catfish numbers before 08 total renovation.

And the most important of all, attend the Pond Boss Conference!
