Sorry I know this has nothing to do with fishing. Many of you have been so wonderful and followed our plight for a child. We finally meet that finish line and now starting the new journey as parents. I will post in a couple of days or sooner a link with some pics since I'm so proud. SOrry Dave just now had a moment.

Quickly,

We went to hospital tuesday night. They tried somethings but nothing started by wed morning so thye started inducing with PIP. She had some hard contractions all day until about 1:30 am. She was still at 8 cm's and basically with help and pushing got to 10 cm's so pushed for 3 hours before he arrived at 4:30 thrusday morning. I tell you that is one tougth wife to do this without epidural or drugs, new fond respect, she is known around the hospital as the crazy woman.

Anyway she is recovering well and we went home the next afternoon. Wyatt Wolf Grimes was 8-13 and 21" long (about the size of a nice bass). He is great and the first night at home went well. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It was an emotinally uplifintg experience beyond what I could even imagine. Wolf is Wendy's maiden name and Wyatt stands for little warrior. He has been thru so much that was appropriate we thought. I look forward to eveyone seeing his pics in a few days. Thanks again!

Hate to tell you (although I have done so many different times), but the bass will now take 2nd place as I am sure you already know.

Congrats to both you and Wendy. Children are a true gift from God (especially under your prior circumstances), so take some time off, induldge the wife (she needs it), and enjoy your "little warrior". Time flys by so quickly that he will be working for you before you know it. Live in the moment, take plenty of pictures and videos, and thank God daily for your little gift.

Good job my friend, \:\)

There is nothing greater than the birth of your child. Our utmost gratulations to Mom, baby and DAD! He's definitely a keeper! Hug him a lot...babies grow up way too fast.

Great story, glad to hear Mommy (what a trooper) and baby are doing fine. Birth is a mircle, Fatherhood is a gift. Enjoy!

Hearty Congratulations Greg! And near Father's day timing! This will be one Father's day you won't forget.

Fatherhood is a gift, as Gator mentioned, and also a great responsibility....one which I'm sure you will fulfill extremely well.

Congratulations, Greg, Wendy, and Wyatt!!

Nothing like a successful spawn.

I hope you're well versed in diaper changing. My first-ever diaper change was what I refer to as The Great Miconium Migration of August '04. I could tell she'd been saving it all for me; I opened that diaper up, and man O man, I felt like Jed Clampett striking crude.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
