Cecil, You are a very patient and giving person for helping the posers, I mean posters, on the AQUANIC forum.
Read a brief exchange between you and someone offering hybrid crappie. Hopefully I didn't miss a thread on our forum...but could you elaborate on the product the gentleman was offering.

Gumboot...There was a thread I where I was given a lead on hybrids the were 90% male, I believe it was thru the Monroe brothers/hatchery. Nothing came of it...I believe it was to expensive to pursue at the time (2 years ago).
If Cecil has advanced info, I would be interested too.

I'm not trying to plug anyone but since you asked, it was this post on an aquaculture site by Bobby Glennon a biologist for Malone and Sons that I was referring to:
Hybrid Crappie From: Bobby Date: 14 Mar 2006 Time: 21:22:02
Comments Cecil, Do you need any hybrid crappie? We have 1000# of 1/4 pounders. Beautiful fish. No triploids yet but we are still tinkering with it. Bobby
Here's the contact info. I tried to post the website but this site wouldn't let me.
CONTACT INFORMATION
Malone and Sons Phone: 501-676-2800/501-676-6554 Fax: 501-676-2910 Address: Highway 31 South PO Box 158 Lonoke, AR / USA
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

What's interesting about Malone and Sons is they were the pioneers when it came to triploid grass carp. However, as you should be well aware, hybrid crappie and triploid crappie are two different things.

Gumboot many PB members are out on the ponds on weekends. CB1 the first page of the link above clearly sets out the differences and that of some combinations of them. I should have linked both pages. Here is page 1. http://www.pondboss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=000402;p=1
