I did a search and didn't readily come up with a previous discussion on this. Any concerns with minimum pond size and Tilapia?
My initial thinking is that if they'll die off in the winter, then no. But, then I've read about some pond bosses who have them overwinter.
Any thoughts?

PJ,
I have them (had until renovating this summer) in a less than 1/4 acre pond. They were just fine, in fact, really cleaned the little pond up like never before. The only thing to be concerned about, and it really isn't much of a concern, is if you do not have any predators in the pond, the Tilapia will present you with a pretty good fish kill, when the water turns cold....but Nature's clean-up crew, which works all the time in Texas, will quickly take care of the dead Tilapia.

Tilapia survival depends on a lot of factors. I am further south than most, large body of water and have a warm water well feeding it. Mine survive, which I like. Ones that do die are easily cleaned up by my dogs, turtles, coons, and birds.
I have put them in cattle water troughs to keep the algea out of them and they make it. I have had to pull some out of there every once in a while to keep numbers down.
