Found a heartbreaker today. Stocked 1st 100 WE in my upper 2 acre pond 04/08/21 , second batch was October that year .As DD is fond of saying "go to sleep with mouth open, wake up with full tummies" . Over 100 lbs of FH and GSH stocked over the year before + hundreds of 2-4' YP and 4-6' YP. Today while feeding The Optimal found a 23" WE with excess stomach skin, would have been a fatty if the skin had been filled out. Possibly, ??possibly ??, a plastic bait swallowed and blocking intestines?? It was a beautiful fish for almost exactly 3 years in a 2 acre farm pond.(23" measured flat, not over curvature ) If SAE outperform, watch out .

Notice the extended aft dorsal (soft) on Saugeye. And yes, the WAE is from my pond. Lusk is going to be upset that I got my Cedar Mills hoodie wet! :-))

Thanks for the educational pics, Snipe!
I know the saugeye is supposed to be the fish porn, but that walleye in your picture looks very fat to me! Was that a "pond" walleye or a "reservoir" walleye?

See second line of edited post above.. :-)) Very nice! And as I think I recall, your main pond is not the big? Too bad you are going to have to give up all of that when TJ eventually loses your house on an overly ambitious wager. P.S. Did anyone break the YP State Record at your pond this spring during the spawn?

I was hoping that was going to be the case! Further, your wife should enjoy picking a worthy successor. P.S. The state Saugeye record is 9.81 pounds. That will be a fun record for someone to break at your pond.

High hopes , Snipe gets my ponds on the Oklahoma list on Sauger. Oklahoma doesn't have a yellow perch record, we catch one over 2 lbs and we'll have to petition the state to add YP.

A plaque showing the OK State Record would be a nice photo on your website. Hopefully, drive some more business your way!
