looks like a redear to me but it's missing the red on the ear. Do female redear sunfish sometimes lack the red on the ears?

Bruce,

Do you think it is a native or hybrid? I do not see the typical light tinge on the bottom fins (anal or pecs) normally associated with hybrid.


Just another 1 acre hole in the ground...........with fish !!!

I'm as positive as can be that this is a purebred bluegill.
