Bgill at 5"-6" long in May will spawn sometime in 2005. I used to see Dennis Fender at least twice a year and now I rarely see him. Too many other new fish hatcheries around me now. Fender's is still about the only hatchery in Ohio where you can usually get adult fish of many species including adult redears to 10". They farm over 250 acres of water.

BILL, FENDER HAS 3 AND 5 INCH BASS. SO ITS SAFE TO PUT IN 30 NOW? ALSO MY HALF ACRE POND FOR STRUCTURE I HAVE 3 SMALL TREES LAYING INTO THE WATER AND ONE SMALL ROCK PILE, THERE IS ALSO ABOUT A 20 FOOT PATCH OF GRASSY AREA IN LESS THAN A FOOT OF WATER, IS THIS ENOUGH FOR MY POND? I HAVE LOTS OF FAT HEADS RIGHT NOW.IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD DO?

I would put some of each size bass in your pond. Maybe 50% of each size or stock only the larger size. Your choice. The larger size (5") are probably the same age as the 3". Larger ones either had more food or were faster growing. And a few other possibilities exist for the size difference.
Your structure is a little on low side but probably adequate with your current heavy forage base. Fatheads rarely survive bass predation in any pond. Expect to see them gone by this time next year. Bgill hatch may take some pressure off the fatheads for awhile.
