I recently discovered this site & enjoy all the input that ya'll put toward the issues. I appreciate the input on my turtle problem & think I will lean toward the trap solution.I must confess that I have popped a cap or two on those turtles & enjoyed it,but houses are kinda close.Being in Louisiana & having Cajun blood I wish I had some of those Big O snappers... I make a "MEAN" Sauce Piquante !!! LOL !!!
THANX AGAIN

In this day & age, there are some really mean air-rifles that do as much damage as the old .22 short cartridges without the noise. Shoot the trash turtles, RAISE the others ! I've eaten awesome turtle "stew"...different pieces taste like different kinds of meat. I'm still waiting on an expert to show me how to clean them.

Boone,

My mother and her family of swamp-billys came from your state. Being a cross between swamp and hill billys, I naturally settled on the plains.

I hear your turtle tastes like gator, which tastes like armadillo which tastes like gumbo. It all tastes the same covered with cajun piquante.

Now if you can just come up with a recipe for cajun mosqueto.

I know alot of Cajuns but no "Billys". I live in south Louisiana, maybe some "Billys" in north Louisiana. You might have something about the Cajun Mosquito. You know what they say about us Cajuns " We will eat anything that wont eat us first!! "
