have a new pond. 75% full. most water been in for about 4 months. algae all around edge from shoreline out about 5 feet or so. i guess it is not hurting anything but i hate to look at it. would you spread something like curitrene plus or something else all around the shore just enough out to cover the 5 feet or so? or i could just treat the part i have to look at the most, say 100 feet on each side of my pier, that would only be mabe 10% if shore line and a tiny % of the surface area. or would you let it along?

Darrell, much discussion on this subject in the past - search the archives. We have a similar problem in oue N.E. Texas ponds - bad year for algea.
I'm stocking tilapia next week for biological control - I don't like chemicals.

spray all the pond,if you spray just small area it will be back in not time at all.when you spray all the pond you will only keep it away about 8-10 weeks.it will however die off in several months when your water warms up.
