Finally going to have my game pond built this summer. Should be ~1.5 acres and have an average depth of ~18ft. It will be fed by the many springs on my land and more importantly, the outflow from my ~.2 acre forage pond. My goal is YP/WE (maybe PS and SMB also). My forage pond is full of spotfin shiners and lake chubsuckers. I want a weedy pond to provide cover for my forage. I will be adding papershell crayfish to the game pond. I tried getting eel grass established in my forage pond and met with minor success a few years ago. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
