First picture on the new UBB format. Lets see how this works.

O.K., it works just like the old forum. You have to shove the picture to an on-line host (I use Imgur) then copy'past the link here. Can't do it directly from your computer.

Scott - How big were those trout when you stocked them in northern Indiana last fall? This info will benefit others to know what can be done in their pond during fall, winter and spring.

if we can't use the standard picture upload manager tool that would not be good...
picture test:

looks like the standard picture upload tool IS working Yes!! If you want to upload the file AND have it show inline in the message you have to manually create the link yourself using the trick before and after the web address of the picture.

still have to manually resize pictures to be below 2MB, but at least if you use the picture attachment tool the files stay on the forum and no need to have a 3rd party hosting app involved.

Bill:

They were around 12" when stocked. I fed them a 50/50 mix of Optimal Bluegill and Optimal Bass food until ice on, didn't feed all winter, and then started up feeding when the ice was off for good in late February. I had the Texas Hunter feeder set to throw for 5 seconds/day at mid day. The middle of April I bumped up the feed time to 10 seconds 1/2 hour after sunrise and again 1 hour before sunset.

Providing we don't get a heat wave, I expect these to live until mid to late June, and grow a bit bigger.

Oops, I forgot to add that these fish were caught the 3rd week of March.........

Another test, lets try this by using the uploader here on the forum.

Well, that worked, but now to try and figure out how to get the picture to show in the thread without having to click on the link......

Gorgeous perch! I get the chills just thinking about ice fishing in March, though.

There was still 5" ice on the pond then, but it left pretty quickly after that. It was still food hard ice.

Bullhead pile that broke the umbrella trap on the first use. Size 15 boot for comparison. I ate alot of baked BH that night.

Those are some great BH. I fondly remember eating BH with my grandfather and grandmother. Have you ever had BH at breakfast?

I wanted some fish for dinner, so one went in my belly, one went in the refigerator for later in the week.

Our old refurbished pond had lots of bullheads and green sunfish. Added BG and LMB and now can hardly catch a BH. They were around a couple years and couldn't hardly keep the small ones off the line. I will not say they are all gone now, but hardly ever catch one. I think the LMB wipe out all the recruits.
