Wow wbuffetjr...I guess I missed this post...how cool is that! Most of us will never experience Bullwinkle visiting our ponds. This world can't have enough moose. Some half-wit recently illegally shot a mother moose with two calves in Lake City, Colorado....SMH

yeah I was pretty excited. I have caught them on our place on trail camera before and a couple years ago we ran into two small bulls sparring in the middle of the road, but this was the first one I have seen in person on our property. The moose population around us must be doing well. Last year they introduced an "experimental" moose season for our unit. The DOW wouldn't do that unless they were happy with the numbers.
I don't understand how the heck someone mistakenly shoots a moose.

My 2nd favorite type of cat Snipe! Hope to get some pics of my favorite type at our place this December!! Following your lead into the winter theme... This pic just came in. This little guy better get off the mountain asap or he's gonna become a permanent resident! BIG storm blowing in right now.
