Hi

On my property in far Northeast Texas (ten minutes from Louisiana line) I have a small Creek about 40 feet wide that runs through it.

Haven't had much in there but thinking about tossing CNBG in there to see what they will do.

Wise idea or total waste of $?
If good idea, when should I stock them, now or Feb/Mar?

IMO...there are no fish in your stretch of the creek because it is not conducive to holding fish. Would it be legal for you to dig a honey hole next to or in the creek with deeper water and attractive structure? Again, IMO, stocking CNBG into your existing stretch of creek would be wasted money as they will just leave and move until they find a habitat they like.

I’ve done that. Then a big rain hit and most went elsewhere.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
