Definitely a hybrid bluegill with green sunfish characteristics, might be a GSFxRES cross.

Thanks for the replies, I thought it didn't look right. Its a pretty fish but I really didn't want any hybrids in my pond. Would you guys remove them when you catch them? I guess they will spawn wont they? Wonder what else was in my bag of fish from the fish farm

I'm not crazy about GSF but RESxBG will happen naturally with both there-eventually. I'm not sure about the potential of future generations from that particular fish. If there are others present just like it you could get a cross genetic offspring similar to that of GSF. More than likely It's going to cross with either BG or RES. I would probably cull it but not sure it would present a problem.

Might be camera angle but the body really looks round like a disc.
