Can anyone identify this floating shoreline plant that has found it's way into my pond this year? And will Navigate work against it? Thanks in advance.

Mark, that is Pennywart. I've had it off and on for years, and it's almost like kudzu on water. Very aggressive plant.
A glyphosate and surfactant work well, but it can take several applications for total elimination. Just my experience, but if gly is applied correctly it can take up a week or so to start seeing results. The warmer the water, the faster the results.

Thanks Al.....will do on the glyphosate and surfactant. Don't want it getting out of hand. Gosh not sure when I can apply the chems...have you seen the 10 day forecast? I don't think I've ever seen that much rain in a Dallas forecast...are we now Seattle?

Al just as an FYI....this was suggested:I’ve had better success using Renovate Max G at the 4ppm rate, which is a combination of 2,4-D and Tryclopyr. This provides two different modes of action attacking the plant.

Marc Harris Fisheries Biologist Mark I agree, but it can get expensive. It just depends on what you want to spend, and how much of a product you need. Imazapyr is a good option also. That's what Overton's guys use.

All that rain sure is concerning for those of us down river ZEP. Eventually, all that water has to drain off somewhere. And Toledo Bend has reputation for flooding everyone down river of the damn. Sure hope your forecast doesn't amount to a lot of inches in rain.

Mike....it has been crazy this past Fall and 2019 thus far. I bet Caddo Lake has really had a tough time...they flood so easily there.

Its definitely been a busy spring. I've recorded 16" of rain since Jan 1st, and most of the heavier rain has been up your way. The Sabine below TB has been at flood stage all year. All it takes is one good rain up above to have everyone down here looking for a nerve pill. That 2016 flood of record, then Harvey in 2017, has given everyone PTSD...myself included.
