My neighbor has a 1 acre pond about 10 years old. Today he found this spec floating with the back end missing. Could a LMB or CC do this to about a 12" fish?

I would suspect a scavenger, probably a turtle, if I saw that in my pond.

Turtle

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Looks like all the occassional floaters I find in my pond. The turtles are doing their jobs. Highly unlikely a turtle killed it tho. It most likely died on its own.
