Can anyone recommend a pond builder in the Burleson/Joshua, TX area? Going to build a new one....maybe 1.5 acres, possibly two.
Thanks for any information!

Gary, the NRCS generally keeps a list of dozer drivers who sign up with them. However, they don’t check qualifications. Drive around the area and look at ponds. Stop and ask who built it and if they would use them again. With all the new construction and roads, they may all be pretty busy.
Don’t know your knowledge level about pond building but I would find out a lot about it before I hired anyone. A good start might be Mike Otto’s book, Just Add Water. Lots of difference in a pond builder and a dozer driver who knows how to clear land.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
